Luke Mitchell launches fresh innocence appeal

Luke Mitchell was convicted in 2005 of the murder of his girlfriend Jodi Jones two years earlier, following one of the longest trials in Scottish history. The crux of the case against Mitchell was that he apparently knew where his girlfriend’s body was, although there was no forensic evidence against him. Mitchell’s latest appeal was put together by the Miscarriages of Justice Organisation.     There never was any evidence to link Luke to this terrible killing, just supposition and wild fantasy.
