‘Pocket’ is a mobile app and website created by Read It Later, Inc. It lets you mark articles, documents and webpages so that you can read them later, offline. It’s available for Android, iOS and as a Chrome extension. If you read a lot but often come across things that you don’t have time to read right now, then you’re likely to find Pocket really useful. You can learn more about it on their website: https://getpocket.com/
Recently, Pocket have added some very useful new features to their service. You now have the ability to connect with people via other social media sites – for example, you can connect with people who you follow on Twitter, and follow them on Pocket too.
If you come across an interesting article, you can now not only save it to read yourself, you can also mark it as ‘recommended’. People following you on Pocket will see your recommended article pop up in their feed, giving them the option of reading it too.
It’s a great way of uncovering things to read, and at INNOCENT we use it ourselves. You can follow us on Pocket and see the articles that we think you’ll find interesting.
